Can you defend property with lethal force? In some states you can, but in most states you cannot. But even if you’re legally allowed to use force to defend your property, is that something you truly want to do? Yes, certainly, you have been violated and someone has stole your personal items. However, is that something you truly want to live with? Do you want to take someone’s son, dad, or significant other over a piece of property, which is likely insured?
