Evolution of the Handgun Shooting Stance

In the last 75 years, the handgun shooting stance has evolved numerous times. From the one-handed unsighted fire of the early 20th century, to the Weaver stance made popular in 1959. From the modified Weaver stance to the isosceles stance. To today’s efficient natural shooting stance. Weaver, Cooper, Crawford, Lathrop, Jedlinski…we continue to evolve and stand on the shoulders of giants. For hundreds of years, the handgun shooting stance stayed relatively the same. In the last 75 years, it has evolved and changed rapidly.
