To be a certified CCW Instructor in California you must apply to the California Department of Justice to receive the CCW Instructor certification. Before you apply for the certification you must provide proof that a certified individual has administered a shooting qualification to you and that you have passed. The shooting qualification involves several timed shooting drills. The shooting qualification involves some holster draw, but no movement.
